Water Works Reports.
Amsterdam, N. Y.
The thirteenth annual report of the Board of Water Commissioners, Amsterdam, N. Y., states that the receipts for water from all sources for the year was $41,529.87, of which $7,594.59 was metered. The amount expended for extensions and construction of mains was $3,-526.32, and for other purposes $1,699.04. The pipe laid was 75 feet two-inch, 1,038 feet of four-inch, 2,111 x of sixinch, making a total of 24.73 miles in the distribution system. Hydrants set, 7 four-inch ; total in system 256. Gates, new, 3 four-inch; 5 six-inch and 1 ten-inch; total set 318. The special regulating valves, which were thoroughly overhauled by the Ross Valve Company of Troy, N Y., are reported as in good working order.
