The proposal to issue bonds for water works improvement in Aitkin, Minn., was rejected at the recent election by a large majority.
The town of Davenport, Wash., whose water supply is now drawn from a 550-foot well, has just contracted for a second well not to exceed 600 feet in depth, 16 inches in diameter.
