WATER WORKS NEWS
The city of Des Moines has obtained permission from the Iowa Legislature to purchase the holdings of the Des Moines Water Company and are negotiating on price with the company. It is probable that citizens will vote on the proposition July 1st.
A new water tower pumping station and pressure tank are being installed in Hartford, S. D. It is expected that the work will be completed early in June, when Hartford will rejoice in the possession of one of the most up-to-date water systems in the state. It is municipally owned.
