WATER SUPPLY
The Grand Jury of King’s county has made a presentment calling attention to, and severely censuring the board of alder men for their failure to appropriate $100,000 to construct a bypass pipe round Ridgewood reservoir for the purpose of enabling Brooklyn to obtain a supply of pure water and to guard against water famine.
Died at Jamaica Plane, Mass., June 26, Phillip H. Folger, aged seventy years. Mr. Folger was for a number of years superintendent of the Nantucket railroad. Funeral services were held at his late residence on June 23.
