WATER SUPPLY
Brockton. Mass., water works are now in good condition. The new Holly vertical pumping engine of 5,000,000 gallons daily capacity is working smoothly and fully up to its guaranteed duty. During a recent visit to the city a representative of FIRE AND WATER was shown over the works by MessrsLocke and Superintendent Kingman,and through their courtesy enjoyed a very pleasant visit.
An explosion of dynamite caused the death of four laborers in the trench of shaft No. 2, Metropolitan water works aqueduct at Clifton, Mass. Another man was probably fatally injured.
