WATER RATES
The Water Committee of Worcester, Mass., has before it for consideration an order for a charge of one cent per 1,000 gallons of water to the park commissioners. The present rate charged to the parks department is 10 cents per 1,000 gallons. The park commissioners are willing to pay a nominal sum such as would accrue from the new rate asked but they claim that they face a deficit in their accounts because of the bills under the present rate.
