WARNING OF DANGER IN PARKING AUTUMOBILES
Attention on the part of the fire underwriters is being given to the blocking of streets by the parking of automobiles to such an extent that fire department apparatus would be delayed in reaching fires.
A correspondent at Milwaukee writes that a few days ago both sides of the street in front of a large clubhouse were lined up with cars, most of which had safety locks and could not be moved. The clubhouse was located at the corner of a residential block where the houses are frame with shingle roofs. Had a fire occurred it would have been impossible for the department to get within two blocks of the place in any direction.
