First Fire Prevention Survey Since 1906Attempt Made Seven Years Ago to Start Inspection—Each Fire House to Be Visited
WITH the permission of Mayor James J. Walker and the authority of Commissioner John J. Dorman, the National Board of Fire Underwriters has begun a survey of the New York Fire Department which will require about six months time and approximately $50,000 expense.
