Two-Platoon System for Billings
The Billings, Mont., fire department is the eleventh in this country to adopt the two-platoon system. On August 18 the city council voted to install that system. Only one additional man will be required, which will make thirteen in all. The system was adopted at the urgent request of Chief Kennedy and members of the paid force. There are also 25 volunteer members in the department.
