美国力登的River Water.
A New Jersey analysis of the Raritan river water shows that it carries on an average about 28 parts of suspended matter or silt per 1,000,000, of dissolved mineral matter about 81 per 1,000,000. The suspended matter, however, varies from a mere trace to over 200 parts—giving an extreme variation of 7.2 times the average. The content of dissolved matter is much more uniform. being only 0.47 times the average amount. Of the dissolved solids 2t.i per cent, is silica: 0.19 per cent., iron; 13.7 per cent, calcium; 5.6 per cent, magnesium; 9.4 per cent, sodium and potassium; 31.2 per cent., the carbonate radicle; 13-7 per cent., the sulphate radicle; 5 per cent., chlorine.
