The London Salvage Corps.
We find in the Post Magazine of August 31st, the annual report of the London Salvage Corps, from which we make these extracts as showing the efficiency and economical working of that useful branch of the Fire Service:
“ The number of fires to which our staff have given attention in 1877 was 1,580, of which 1,533 were within the metropolitan area, and 47 without; the whole showing a decrease of 93 fires compared with the previous year.
