THE COMING NATIONAL CONVENTION AT MINNEAPOLIS.

Secretary H. A. Hills of the National Association of Fire Engineers writes to FIRE AND WATER that Chief Engineer Stetson has secured ample space for the exhibition of apparatus at the convention, which begins August 14—namely, two rooms on the ground floor of the West Hotel, one 22 x 50 feet and the other 22 x 65 feet in area, while more can be had if desired. Intending exhibitors may forward their exhibits to the care of Chief Stetson, who will care for them until the arrival of the owner or his agent.

As to railroad rates for visitors, the secretary writes that the Southern Passenger Association has named a rate of one fare for the round trip, and the Trunk Line and Cent al Passenger Association fare for the round trip. The Baltimore and Ohio and Erie Railroids are selling round trip tickets to the Cincinnati Exposition from New York at $20, and the Pennsylvania and New York Central at $24. These tickets are good for fifteen days from date of issue, but the holder must start on Thursday from New York. For starting on other days they are not good. The round trip for between Cincinnati and Minneapolis will, we understand, not exceed ft 7.50.
