Swedish Fire Station Has Full-Size Gymnasium
Visiting an overseas country and observing fire prevention and fire fighting practices can be a real education for any fireman. Last summer I visited fire stations in a number of European countries.
I wonder what our citizens would do if they were confronted with these fire instructions in their hotel rooms: “In case of fire, please leave the building by the stairs. If the stairs are not accessible, please look for a fire rope and use it, if there is one available,” and “In case of fire, please leave this room by the door, closing it after you; if you cannot, please sit and wait. We have a very efficient fire department in this city which will rescue you.”
