The bill proposes the following increases: Privates, from $95 to $109.25 a month; engineers, from $1,320 to $1,518 a year; lieutenants, from $105 to $120.75 a month; captains, from $115 to $132.35 a month; assistant chiefs, from $2,000 to $2,400 a year; first assistant chief, from $2,100 to $2,500 a year; chief, from $4,000 fo $5,000 a year.
