In speaking of the many counterfeits and imitations, he jokingly says, “his Rye and Rock must be a good thing, as people don’t counterfeit or imitate worthless ones.” He claims as he sells the genuine "Rye and Rock" at $1 per bottle or $10 per dozen, while it might pay the counterfeiter to sell it, it won’t pay the afflicted to buy any but the genuine. He charges nothing extra for a fac simile of his autograph on the label.
