Smoke Injuries Rise
Firemen injuries from smoke inhalation rose sharply during the second quarter of 1967, as compared with a similar period last year.
A sample survey of 791 fires conducted by the International Association of Fire Chiefs reports 531 injuries from smoke inhalation during the quarter as compared to 393 in the same period last year. Smoke caused two of the reported six firemen deaths.
