The sewer commissioners of Woonsocket, R. I., have awarded the contract for building sections 2 and 3 of the sewer system, comprising the main intercepting sewer from the filter fields to the Clinton street railroad abutments, and including siphons across the river to Clinton street, to Frank L. Allen of Worcester, the value of the contract being about $40,000. Section I of the system, comprising a bank wall extending from the Hamlet bridge to where Cass brook empties into the Blackstone,two settling basins, and the foundations of the pumping station, has been let to the Cumberland Construction Company, of Valley Falls, Kenneth McKay, manager. The value of this contract is about $50,000.

Ridley Park, Pa., borough council has awarded the contract to J. F. Smith, to lay a sewer 1,200 feet in length.
