SEWERAGE
A petition for the extension of lateral sewer mains in Mamaroneck avenue, White Plains, N. Y., from Maple ave. south to the village lines, has been presented to the Board of Trustees, and it is understood the Sewer Committee will recommend the construction of the sewer immediately. The Sewer Committee has caused to be placed beneath the covers of manholes and flush-tanks in the sewer system galvanized iron pans, perforated near the top, for the purpose of keeping sand and other foreign substance from entering the sewer mains.
