Seven Chemical and Hose Cars for Detroit
The fire department of Detroit, Mich., recently acquired seven Packard-Obenchain-Boyer chemical and hose cars, equipped with two 35-gallon chemical tanks, and body with capacity of 1,000 feet of hose. The apparatus has a 12-foot wheel base and is equipped with 36 x 6 pneumatic tires. The illustrations show one of these cars with Chief of the Detroit fire department in the scat, and next to him, on the right, Fire Commissioner Metzger.
