Two fire fighters recently sought damages totaling $240,000 from the City of Houston, Tex., claiming malathion poisoning from last summer’s fight against encephalitis. The two men, both members of a pumper company at the time, were engaged in spraying the chemical in the city in an attempt to control diseasebearing mosquitoes. The men claim various skin and nerve disorders.
