Seattle Hires Engineer
A chemical engineer, Raymond L. Gockley, 42, has joined the Seattle Fire Department as its first fire protection engineer. Gockley, a University of Washington alumnus and at one time an engineer for the Washington Survey and Rating Bureau, began his work with the department making studies for fire code revisions.
