San Antonio to Convert Hose Threads
San Antonio, Texas, has joined the large number of American cities that have standardized the threads on fire The Late A. J. Coffee hose couplings. It will be necessary to change the threads on 2,700 fire hydrants throughout the city, as well as on 60,000 feet of fire hose, according to an announcement made by Phil Wright, fire and police commissioner.
The change has been authorized in order to comply with efforts under way throughout the entire country to standardize threads on fire, hose couplings and fire hydrants as well.
