Nos. 3, 4 and 5 service truck companies to five men each. Replace the deficiency in the number of men in the department created when twenty-four hours’ vacation every fourth day was granted in lieu of twenty-four hours’ vacation every seventh day. Install fire alarm headquarters in a fireproof building with suitable locations for battery, switchboard and apparatus. Convert the fire alarm system into that of manual operation and add the necessary apparatus to bring the equipment up to a reliable standard. Discontinue the use of fire alarm wires by the American District Telegraph Company. Provide a joker circuit from fire alarm headquarters to each fire station to which connect relay tapper and all house auxiliaries, and register in each house to be installed upon a box circuit.
