Manchester, Mass., has contracted for the building of a brick pumping station at Gravel pond, in connection with the additional water supply of that town, at a cost of $11,000.
Waterbury, Conn., in order to obviate its present scarcity of water, which may be chronic, is thinking seriously to pump water from Mad river, Lakewood and the Chestnut Hill reservoir.
