Pressure Reducing Valves.
To the Editor of FIRE AND WATER.
I expect to have use for a shut-off valve or gate in my water system that will reduce the pressure from say 75 to 40 pounds, which is to say that I wish to supply water into a pipe with a pressure of about 40 pounds from one with the pressure at 75 pounds, and not increase the pressure of the former while the water is being delivered through it.
