Portland Fire Company Camping Out.

Portland Fire Company Camping Out.

The members of Hose and Chemical Company No. 2, of Portland, Ore., have been camping out for the past three months, while the city is building a new fire station where the old one formerly stood. The temporary quarters are shown in a photograph taken for this magazine and presented on this page. All the quick-hitch and unhitch automatic switches and other facilities are connected up in the improvised fire station, and the company has been making the best turnouts in the city. The photograph shows Lieutenant Zellner seated on the chemical, and Captain Crewse on the hose wagon.
