Philadelphia Underwriters Investigate Dry Pipe Sprinklers.
Following is the report recently made to the Philadelphia Fire Underwriters Association by a special committee appointed to investigate dry pipe automatic sprinkler systems:
GENTLEMEN—In accordance with your request we have made an examination of the dry pipe systems submitted to us, and herewith hand our report on the result of the same. We have made no effort to examine systems in other cities, being satisfied only with an inspection of what could be tested as a practical working system in actual use. Four methods have een examined and will be described hereafter.
