SEATTLE, WASH., November 25.—The Puyallup (Wash.) city council at its latest meeting inspected plans for the building of a sewer system, the principal main to cost about $27,000. Three plans were submitted by the city engineer, but only one was regarded as feasible. This calls for a fifteen-inch vitrified clay pipe, which will extend down Park avenue to Clark's creek, along the side of the creek to the narrow strip between the creek and the river, where the sewer will make a direct shute for the river. There are in the proposed sewer system 16,100 feet. It has a nine-foot fall. The question of better fire protection came up and a committee consisting of Messrs. Spinney, Barnett and Summerfield were appointed to select locations for a number of reserve wells.
