New York Fireman Rescued by Comrade
In fighting a fire which occurred recently in a button factory which was formerly the Villa Roadhouse, Bronx, one of the members of the New York fire department fell from the blazing roof to the interior of the building, which was in flames, the fall rendering him unconscious. One of his comrades saw his plight and plunging into the fire and smoke brought him to safety through a window to an extension of the structure, as shown in the illustration, by this act probably saving his comrade’s life. The building was practically destroyed.
