A Readington (NJ) volunteer firefighter was extricated and medevaced after afire apparatuscrash over the weekend.
The Hunterdon Democrat(http://bit.ly/1onAIoS) reported that Ken Apsley, 54, an active, veteran fireman and the Readington company deputy chief, became trapped when thefire truckhe was driving overturned en route to a call late Saturday evening.

It’s the second time in less than a month that a volunteer with one of the township’s three companies crashed a fire apparatus while responding to a call. In February, aThree Bridges firefighter had to be extricatedwhen a fire apparatus went off the road and crashed into a tree in Raritan Township.
