New Hampton, Iowa, Purchases Pumper
The fire department of New Hampton, Iowa, recently acquired a new Pirsch-Packard triple combination pumper, which is illustrated herewith. The pumper is supplied with a 350-gallon rotary pump and its equipment consists of a 1,000-foot capacity hose box, a 40-gallon chemical tank, 150 feet of chemical hose, reel, ladders, extinguishers, etc. The apparatus was given a three-hour Underwriters’ acceptance test at a capacity of 120 pounds pump pressure.
