New Fire House at Hartford, Conn.

Acting upon the recommendation of Mayor Kinsella, the Hartford, Conn., board of fire commissioners are contemplating the erection of a new fire house on Main Street in that city to replace the present quarters of Engine No. 1. When the new building is completed the quarters of Engine No. 6 on Huyshope Avenue will be abandoned and the men will be quartered with the company now located in the Main Street house. Plans are also being made by the commissioners for the construction of an addition to the headquarters building on Pearl Street for which an appropriation of $225,000 will be necessary. When this addition is completed the quarters of Engine No. 4 will be sold.
