Salisbury (NC) (WBTV) – A firefighter who was scheduled to start a full-time position with the Locke Township (NC) Volunteer Fire Department passed away from natural causes Wednesday night, sources confirmed.
Lieutenant Chris Phillips died hours after responding toa fatal crash on Edmiston Roadnear Mt. Ulla.
Phillips had also worked for the Churchland Volunteer Fire Department in Davidson County and Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
