National Board Opens Pacific Coast Office

The executive committee of the National Board of Fire Underwriters at its last meeting decided to give the Pacific Coast more complete service through the opening of a branch office at San Francisco, from which activities of several of its most important committees will be carried on west of the Rocky Mountains by trained men.

The National Board will assign to the new branch office two or more fire protection engineers to inspect cities of 20,000 population or more, to advise with the authorities in any municipality concerning waterworks and fire protection and also to assist in applying the grading schedule, provided that schedule is adopted on the Coast.
