DAVE EISENBIESZ, an 18-year veteran of the Arvada (CO) Volunteer Fire Department, has been appointed the department’s fire chief. Hisenbeisz joined the AFD in 1974; served as quartermaster, lieutenant, and captain; was appointed assistant chief for all fire prevention activities in 1989; and founded the department’s home inspection program and public safety day. The Arvada Fire Department is the largest all-volunteer department in the West.
At its annual election, the Sierra Madre Volunteer Fire Department elected Fire Chief EDWARD D. TRACY to a seventh term as the department's chief. A 24-year veteran of the volunteer fire service, Tracy also has served as a captain of the Valley Stream (NY) Fire Department. He currently is employed as executive director of contingency planning for Paramount Pictures Corporation.
