The firm of Charles T. Holloway, of Baltimore, Md., has this week delivered to the New York fire department one of its latest improved double-tank chemical fire engines. It has also closed contracts with the city of Glenville, Ohio, for one of its double-tank, combination chemical engine and hose wagons, and also with the Rescue fire company, of York, Pa., for one of its doubie-tank combination chemical engine and hose wagons.

The city of Buffalo, N. Y., is keeping well abreast of the times in its fire equipment, and has just placed an order with the American FirejEngine Company for a new fust size Metropolitan engine. The Metropolitan type of engine is coming to the front;though but a few months on the market.it has already been furnished to the fire departments of New York, Chicago, St. Louis, and other large cities. It is equipped with the Fox boiler arid the new American pump.
