A water committee from La Crosse, Wis., are examining triple expansion pumping engines in Chicago, Fort Wayne, Toledo, and Pittsburgh, preparatory to the negotiation of a contract for a 10,000,coo-gallon engine. Mr. John A. Cole of Chicago, is the consulting engineer for La Crosse, and is giving the committeesthe benefit of his judgment and experience.
