The third-size Silsby steam fire engine recently purchased for the Boston Fire Department will be publicly tested in that city on Friday, the 16th inst., at three o'clock in the afternoon.
We understand Messrs. Elson, Salisbury & Co., the enterprising Chicago fire hose dealers, have secured the services of that energetic hose salesman, R. H. Salter, of Toledo, who will in future look after the demands for their hose in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. Mr. Salter’s address is P. O. Box in (“ three aces”), Toledo.
