During the year 1907 the total net receipts of the waterworks department of Minneapolis, Minn., were $417,679.79, as against $400,104.84 in 1906. The receipts for metered water in 1907 were $248,348.63, as against $200,911.49 in the preceding year; for unmetered water, $35,137.95, as against $53,943.96 in 1906. The total number of new taps made in 1907 was 2,602; of new meters set, 4,129. The total number of metered accounts was 22,660, as againstt 18,728 in 1906; total number of unmetered accounts in 1907, 7,995, as against 9,500 in the previous year. The total cost of new mains laid in 1907 was $185,467.56, as against $149,772 in 1906; tiic total miles of new mains laid was 16.9 miles; total miles mains now in city, 343.9. The total number of gals, pumped in 1907 was 6,420,027,030. as against 6,426,708,815 in 1906; total cost of pumping in 1907, $58,784.77 as against $61,240.49 in 1906; total cost per 1,000,000 gal. pumped. $9.15. The daily average of gals, pumped, 17,591,858 as against 17,607,421 in 1906; daily average consumption per capita, estimated on basis of 275,000 inhabitants, 64 gal.; on basis of 300,000 population, 58.6 gal.
