Low Loss for Peterborough

What is believed to be the lowest fire loss for 1937 in the province of Ontario is claimed by Peterborough, a city of 24,000. The losses were $3,347, or $45,-545 lower than the losses for the previous year.

Chief Gimblett credited the Fire Prevention Bureau with a large part of the work in reducing the losses, and expressed satisfaction at the co-operation received from all the residents.
