J. J. kuplic, Chief of Manitowoc, Wis.
James J. Kuplic has been named chief of the fire department of Manitowoc, Wis., by the fire commission, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Chief J. H. Kratz.
Chief Kuplic who is thirty-nine years old, is one of the youngest officials both in the city and in the state. He had been acting chief since November 1 and the appointment now makes his position permanent.
