INSURANCE COMPANIES WITHDRAW.
A Boston dispatch of August 13 says that the “great losses sustained at the time of the fire and earthquake in San Francisco have caused the withdrawal from Massachusetts of two companies and the changing of another from the fire to the marine insurance line. The Alliance Assurance company, of London, withdrew a week ago. and the Emnire Suretv comoanv of New York has given notice of withdrawal. The Federal Insurance company, of New Jersey, will change its business from fire insurance to marine insurance."
