Improvements for Okmulgee, Okla.

The people of Okmulgee, Okla., voted to issue $1,000,000 Itonds for the construction of a giant water shed and for other improvements to the waterworks system. As soon as the bonds are approved, the city will commence the actual construction on Lake Okmulgee—an estimate has been made that work will start in about thirty days.

According to W. E. Carpenter, commissioner of public works, the contracting companys will get started soon. Surveys have been completed on the watershed, taking in some 700 acres, but a few more soundings are necessary to find the rock bottoms for the concrete dams and the spillway systems.
