Illinois Firemen Elect Officers
The twenty-sixth annual convention of the Illinois State Firemen’s Association was held in Canton last week, when the following officers were elected for the next year: President, Tames J. Dougherty. Ottawa; Vice-presidents: Pearl Smith, Madison; Otto Reiche, Naperville; F. T. Denny, Vandalia; Fred E. Danner, Mount Pulaski; Albert Haase, Peru; Henry Kluge. Collinsville; H. E. Kutz, Morris; A. W. Thode, Galena; M. S. Phillips, Chicago Heights: Secretary. Walter E. Price, Champaign: Treasurer, Michael T. Quirk, Areola; Statistician, Simon Kellerman, Edwardsville. All of these were chosen by unanimous vote. Other than vice-presidents, all succeed themselves in office. Secretary Price is elected for his sixteenth term, and Treasurer Quirk for his eleventh. The convention decided to meet at Mattoon next year.
