HOW ALTITUDE AFFECTS MOTOR APPARATUS EFFICIENCY
Some Slatistics Based on Government Airplane Motor Teats — Varying Losses in Efficiency According to the Altitude—Some Examples
AUTOMOBILE fire pump manufacturers making deliveries in the mountain states sometimes come to grief through underestimating the effect of altitude on the capacity of the pump, or rather, the motor. The United States Government made some tests of aeroplane motors on Pike's Peak during the war and from these and other tests the following losses in motor efficiency were discovered. These are the figures in general use to-day.
