Harold L. Miller of du Pont Promoted
After eleven years of service in charge of the fire protection work of the E. I. duPont de Nemours & Co., Harold L. Miner has been appointed manager of the Safety and Fire Protection division of the company succeeding Lewis A. DeBlois, who resigned. Mr. DeBlois becomes director of the safety engineering department of the Bureau of Casualty and Surety Underwriters.
Mr. Miner was formerly connected with the National Fire Protection Association in charge of the committee on special hazards and while on this committee he started the publication of the association’s quarterly. Later he became assistant to the manager of the Fire Underwriters’ Electrical Bureau of New York city and then became associated with the Underwriters Bureau of the Middle and Southern States.
