Grosse Pointe Park Receives Honorable Mention in Fire Prevention Contest
The village of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich., received honorable mention in the Fire Prevention Week Contest sponsored by the National Boad of Fire Underwriters and the National Fire Protection Association. It was the first time the village had participated.
The report states that the fire department responded to 248 alarms and 32 false alarms. The record fire loss for 1945 was $9,275.00, or a decrease of $5,881.00 under 1944.
