This August 1970 cover photo from188金宝搏是正规吗shows the dramatic escape of three Buffalo (NY) firefighters who are engaged in a search for an 11-month-old girl known to be still on the second floor of this residential structure.
The article provides an excellent description of the conditions which were created when the first floor flashed below the firefighters. It also recounts how the firefighters credit the use of their self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in their survival. Around 1970, widespread use of SCBA was becoming more and more accepted. This story no doubt lead to more credibility as to the need and necessity to protect one’s airway and superheated environments.
