In order to accommodate the great increase in its buisness, the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, of Akron. Ohio, has recently pur chased 15 acres of land near its present plant and will erect an immense model rubber tire factory. An artistic book on the subject of 1910 demountable rims for quick detachable and clincher tires is being distributed by the company. The book illustrates the operation of tire-changing with these rims and explains why the Firestone company has discarded its demountable rims for clincher tires exclusively in favor of the new Firestone demountable rims, which permit of repeated tire changes on the road.
