Fire crews responded to an extra-alarm fire that ripped through a vacant warehouse in Arlington Heights, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
Deputy Fire Chief Pete AhlmantoldThe Chicago Tribunethat the department responded to a 911 call at 6 a.m. and discovered fire in the sprawling, one-story brick warehouse.
There were no injuries reported. Fire went through the roof and the building collapsed, the report said.
About 100firefightersfrom Arlington Heights and several neighboring suburban towns fought the fire.
